With legal practical experience of over thirty years, Mr. Yehia is regularly appointed as Chairman, Sole Arbitrator, Party-Appointed Arbitrator, Expert and Counsel in many local and international commercial arbitrations, involving complex disputes with considerable high values, concerning both public and private entities, relating, inter alia, to construction, investment disputes, joint ventures, oil and gas, B.O.O.T. projects, telecommunication, mergers and acquisitions, banking, securitization, hotel management, franchise, agency, distribution and trademark licensing. He has extensive experience in enforcement of domestic and foreign courts judgments, as well as arbitral awards and has worked under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (“ICC”), London Court of International Arbitration (“LCIA”), Dubai International Arbitration Center (“DIAC”), Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (“CRCICA”), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (“SIAC”),International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes(ICSID) and UNCITRAL, as well as Ad Hoc arbitration, all involving parties from the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia and the United States, reaching up to more than 160 cases.
Mr. Yehia has represented major clients, investors, developers, international contractors, government agencies in disputes with values of billions and hundreds of millions of pounds. He advises major international investors, real estate developers and industrial projects, drawing on his vast and specialized experience in the area of construction law and disputes, where he has represented clients in large-value contracts and/or claims across a large array of sectors in the construction business. One of the major projects Mr. Yehia has participated in lately is the legal works of the Jeddah Tower (a.k.a. the Kingdom Tower).
Mr. Yehia enjoys an exceptional experience in handling major commercial cases before the State Courts. He also has a successful record of cases on nullity of arbitral awards before the courts of appeal, as well as their related cassation challenges before the Egyptian Court of Cassation.
